Workaround

To temporarily avoid this problem in the session, the user should complete the following steps:
1. Press Command + Tab and exit the session to the local Mac desktop.
2. Press Command + Tab again to return to the session.
The keyboard now functions thereafter in that session.

After installing the latest MAC operating system update 10.9.5, you are unable to type in any program (Design Manager) using Citrix. The keyboard appears to no longer work.

This latest MAC update has an issue with the keyboard focus. To fix this, you will need to switch the keyboard focus to the OSX Desktop and then back to the Citrix Viewer/Receiver.

To change the focus to the OSX desktop:

Press the CMD + TAB buttons on the keyboard at the same time.

Then, using your mouse, click on the active Citrix Viewer in the dock.

You should now be able to type again in your Citrix program (Design Manager).
